R'oujie Wellness was created with women in mind. Specifically Black women. Those of us who are living, existing, shining, vibing. Rising despite the walls we climb over and the barriers we burst through daily. Dancing to the beat of our hearts, and following the map of our intuition. R'oujie Wellness was created for us who are complex, and multifaceted. We cannot be contained by boxes and we were never meant to be tamed.
My waistbead story
In 2019 I started noticing waistbeads in my awareness. They persistently kept showing up, and asking for my attention the way that many parts of me and my journey has done. When I finally started paying attention and following my curiosity, waistbeads led me onto a journey of self love, awareness, ritual and discovery that I didn't know existed for me. They became a spiritual tool for me, creating space for acceptance and both mental & emotional healing.
My relationship with myself evolved, my relationship with my body evolved into something more loving, more delicate, more soft, more intentional. I found myself more committed to the consistent practice of love self loving, self caring, self awareness.
Once I noticed the magnificent impact that my own waistbeads had on me and my life, I wanted to share that joy and energy with others. - with everyone! I feel that everyone deserves to tap into the consistent vibrational frequency of self love, appreciation, care and awareness through whatever means is most effective and impactful to them, and for me, this is one of the ways.
The Process
I create each strand with the energy of love, joy, wholeness and excitement. I take a moment to set my own loving intentions and I pray and affirm that what I create will be exactly what the recipient is looking for, desiring and most helpful to them at the time they discover the strand.
Each strand is handmade and unique. Even the strands that look exactly the same. Similar to each breath. All the while, every strand is made with the love intention and energy of being created for the most high God(dess), as I recognize and honor the God(dess) in all beings.
